Rousillac Medical Outreach

E-mail Print PDF

Within months of the formation of the Rousillac Village Corps, it was brought to the attention of the San Fernando Rotary Club, through Ramlal Basdeo, the Club’s representative to the Village Corps, that the residents of the area were in dire need of access to medical consultation.

The members of this club gladly donated of their time on the 12th December, 1993 to provide their services in the medical, dental, optometry and even the veterinary professions to the residents of the Rousillac area. The Village Corps members played an active part in this one-day clinic by organizing the venue at the Rousillac Hindu School and providing all the assistance that was required.

Pharmtech Caribbean is to be commended for graciously donating prescribed pharmaceuticals, as this was greatly appreciated by the recipients.

The one-day clinic was repeated on the 26th March, 1995 at the same venue. This time, the residents flocked in greater numbers to take full advantage of the services offered.
